I have excess belly from being overweight i’m not overweight anymore but I do have an annoying extra sking layer. I’m 13 year old and I’m a boy and I am going to go on the eliptical machine for 90 minutes and burn about 950-1000 calories does this burn fat and will it make my stomach thinner? I eat junk food a lot of it but will it matter since i’m burning it off anyway?

Don’t listen to Malcolm, you’re too young for that.
First of all, you shouldn’t be on the elliptical for 90 minutes. For your age, that’s too long and you’re burning too many calories. When you go for that long, it’s like leaving a hamburger on the grill for too long. What happens? It’s charred, there’s no meat or fat. Basically, that’s what you’re doing, burning fat and carbs (which is ok), but then you start burning muscle as energy.
Diet plays a HUGE role on weight loss. So eating junk food and working out is not going to help you reach your goals. You can’t just eat whatever you want and workout a ton.
I would recommend seeing your pediatrician and have them send you to a dietitian to help you with your diet. It’s always good to get a health screen before starting ANY exercise. Also, see if your parents can hook you up with a good trainer who has experience working with youth. They’ll help start you on the right path and educate you on health and exercise.
