I am 5′3 135lbs and I works out 1 1/2 hour a day 3-4 days a week. I run for an hour and do squats and sit-ups the rest. I love my rear bottom and my legs but still can’t manage to lose my tummy. I’ve gone on massive diets. However, I do lose my stomach but end up losing my nice plump butt. How can I maintain my body weight while I tone my tummy. Please be specific on suggestions or routines that works for you on maintaining nice abs.

Im in the same situation as you… I started doing yoga once a day. I also stopped drinking soda. I only drink water, juice and tea.Cut back on all of my fast foods. I do 100 situps and I holahoop. Also try dancing. You have to lose weight before you start to make muscles tight. Fat turns into muscle so you will look a bit swollen without loosing a few lbs.
Er, Happy…I don’t know if this is the answer you’re looking for, but it worked for me.
I’ve always been an “apple” shape girl…all my weight was in my breasts and abs. I could lose the tummy by strenuously dieting, but I lost everything else too. I could do crunches ’til the cows came home, but it seemed all I was doing was increasing the muscle mass in my abs, which didn’t help at ALL.
So I got liposuction. All of a sudden…ta-da! The tummy was GONE! I had a minimum of discomfort, and for the first time in my life, a FLAT stomach! I tell everyone I know about it; it’s just too good to keep to yourself.
It’s been almost three years, and the tummy is still flat. I went down an entire pants size because I don’t need them as big around the waist anymore (I wear size 6 now.)
I know you were looking for workout advice Hon…but I tried EVERYthing, and in the end, lipo is what worked for me. I wish I’d done it 15 years ago.
Well u dont loose weight in a specific place u need to loose it over all.
Do Cardio exersices like walking, jogging,areobics or swimming..it works wonders if its done 3 to 4 times a week.
Cut down on sweets,colas and carbs, eat atleast 5 fruits a day and drink herbal tea with out sugar in it.
Dont deprive ur self of sweet things just have a bite instead of a slice.
Sucking in ur tummy and holding it in and letting it go slowly as many times as possible also helps reduce the tummy…
Too much risk involved with surgeries…take time to loose weight by doing it the healthy way but its worth it..
