There’s no such thing as targeted weight loss. Any strenuous cardio exercise will burn fat. First fat on is last fat off. In other words, if you gain fat around your stomach first, and it spreads to your hips next, then when you lose fat, you’ll lose it from your hips first, then you’ll lose it from your stomach. You can’t change this, it’s genetic.
You might try Super Slow Ab Curls: these are super slow set of crunches where you put your hands behind head, elbows out to the sides, and lift each vertebra off the floor one by one until you’re in the sit up position then do the same all the way back down to the floor. Barely stop at the top and at the bottom. Keep in constant motion. Do these to fatigue. Followed by 2 sets of alternating obliques where you take each elbow and go to the opposite side. Being careful to again lift each vertebra off the floor one by one. And, concentrate on making a smooth arc in the air with your elbow then alternate sides. No matter how far you get you will have worked both sides.
In addition, you’ll see tone more quickly if you’re also loosing weight because you’ll have less subcutaneous fat (fat under the skin).
