The title lures you in to find out more about this diet plan developed by Jorge Cruise. The 3 hour part here refers to how often you are allowed to consume food. According to the developer of the plan, eating often speeds up your metabolism and keeps it high. When it threatens to dip, it’s time to fuel up your body with more nutritious foods.
Eating every 3 hours may be a challenge, but considering how many hours you would be awake during the day it is achievable. While on this program, you will lose weight by you eating three meals and snacks in between, being sure to adhieve to a calorie limit for each meals and snacks.
So How Does This Work?
Jorge’s 3 Hour Diet plan starts with a limited calorie intake for each meal. The maxium calories eaten at any one time is not to exceed 400 and your snacks are not to exceed 100 calories per snack. If your weight is less then 200 pounds, you are allowed a night snack up to 50 calories when you are starting this program.
What foods Can You Cosume?
Basicily you can eat a variety of foods, theres no food that is really off banned. The only condition is that you adhieve to the calorie limits. What is also recommended is invovle foods from all major groups: protein, carbohydrates, good fats and reduced fat dairy. This means eating lean meat, poultry, fish, whole grains, nuts, beans, yogurt and oils such as flaxseed and olive.
The only thing is that you are required to do some counting to keep on track with the right intake of calories, you will need to measure your serving sizes for each meal. This is not a bad way as it is better on your digestive system to eat smaller and most frequent meals, which will keep you from overeating.
Working out is not stressed here but the Cruise, but he does have his own exercise program that gives you recommendations for moves to help to increase your weight loss. To help you stay on track and see that you are making progress, you are asked to check your weight once a week, usually on Sundays. This is a good way to see if the work done the previous week is making a difference to fat loss.
The main thing with any change to way you eat is be consistant, trial for a last a few months to see if its helping you to lose weight and listen to your body and the way you feel.

Following Cruise’s guidelines for portion control, you’ll eat an average of 1,400 calories per day, filling half your plate with fruits or vegetables, and dividing the other half between the rest of the food groups. Healthy meals from fast-food joints and freezer cases are included, and a substantial recipe section offers everything from a bacon and cheese omelet to rosemary lamb chops.
