How do you get belly fat you might ask? One fine day morning suddenly we may find that our belly is fat but it does not increase suddenly, it takes about days, sometimes weeks or months to make a significant deposit. There is a misconception that overeating leads to the deposition of fat in belly but it is the other way around…..yes, what we eat is important rather than how much we eat .The fat deposited in the adipose tissues of the belly is not only from the fatty foods that we eat but also from the carbohydrates that we consume.

So how do you get belly fat?

Becoming “fat” happens in many different behaviors. There are some main factors that contribute to a majority of our body fat substance. These consist of overeating, lack of exercise and not eating a balanced diet.

Don’t you hate it when you temporarily lose all control and when you don’t notice that you are already losing track of a proper diet? Eating too much is one common reason why people become “fat”. Eating larger than the usual meals is one reason, especially if you like eating in restaurants. It is very common for us to eat even if we are not hungry. If we overdue this, all the food (especially junk foods) will just add to the fat in our bodies.

During the holidays, we tend to eat more delicious foods. This is also the case during other special events. We grab snacks whenever we are at the movies, when we’re watching television and when we go to parties. All the excess foods we consume here contribute to the fat in our bodies. It is basically a routine to eat more than we require, particularly because the food tastes and feels so good that we fail to notice our bodies are becoming prone to health problems.

Lack of physical activity is one of the common reasons why we get belly fat. These days, the things we are used to in our daily life often cause us to not even think about exercise. With cars that can easily take us places instead of walking, with the Internet being more accessible as compared to going to the library – we don’t have time to do even simple exercises that can help our bodies burn fat. Come to think of it, there is little physically challenging activity involved in our daily living that can make us healthy and as a result, we become prone to excess fat such as belly fat.

The other reason why we get belly fat is the food we consume. If we don’t prioritize nutritious foods in our daily eating habits, these become the source of our excess fat. Fast food and restaurant meals may be suitable but these are often very much elevated in fat and carbohydrates. Most of us can’t get the proper balance of fruits and vegetables in our diet. When this happens, our bodies lack additional nutrients. Without a balanced diet, our bodies store up the excess sugar and fat. If we focus on eating a balanced diet and stay away from junk foods, there is a chance that our diets will consist of the right servings and lead to a sexier and healthier body.

Often lack of knowledge only results in such kind of deposition ,it is utmost important for us to implement certain changes in our lifestyle to avoid such deposits by proper exercising , eating balanced diet ,including lots of fibre from fruits and vegetables. Avoiding stress and practicing yoga is also fruitfull. All these might sound simple but brings a reduction in belly fat when practiced sincerely.
